The tongue can cut both ways. Those that gossip to you today may gossip about you tomorrow. Great poem.

Source of Inspiration

To speak of something
about another that
he would not like
regardless of its truth
is a sin of the tongue
whose gravity lies
in the dishonor
your words bring.

What if the retribution
was a transference of sins
of the victim of your hurtful words
on to you, the culprit of the deed?

It does not matter if you
would say this gossip to he
about whom you speak
even if common knowledge
for one can not, should not
disclose the fault of another
for to do so harms
your brother and shows
in you, a lack of compassion.
